We run recreational cheer classes for age 4 to 14 at both of our locations. Recreational cheerleaders learn all of the elements of cheerleading (stunts, pyramids, tumbling, dance and jumps) and work towards our Wildfire Cheer Award certificates. During the latter part of the year, we will focus on learning a class routine to perform at our annual Summer Showcase in June/July (2026 date TBC).
Classes are suitable for beginners as well as children who have been attending for a while, we do try to work in groups within the class based on age and ability where possible. We accept new members throughout the year, provided there are spaces. Your first session is always free!
This season we are running the following classes:
Tiny Recreational Class – Shepshed
Time: Thursdays 5:15-6pm
Location: Sports Hall B, Iveshead School, Shepshed
Age Range: 4 to 5 years old (must have started school)
Cost: £16 per month
Mini Recreational Class – Shepshed
Time: Wednesdays 5:15-6:15pm
Location: Sports Hall B, Iveshead School, Shepshed
Age Range: 6 to 8 years old
Cost: £21 per month
Youth/Junior Recreational Class – Shepshed
Time: Thursdays 6:30-7:45pm
Location: Sports Hall B, Iveshead School, Shepshed
Age Range: 9 to 14 years old
Cost: £26 per month
Recreational Class – Ibstock
Time: Sundays 1-2pm
Location: Sports Hall, Ibstock Leisure Complex, Ibstock
Age Range: 4 to 12 years old (must have started school)
Cost: £21 per month
What to Wear/Bring
- Clothes appropriate for sport (T-shirt and shorts or leggings are fine).
- CLEAN indoor trainers with a solid sole.
- Long hair must be tied up and all jewellery/piercings must be taken out or taped over.
- Please bring a drink of water
